Lori is a graduate of CenterPoint Massage and Shiatsu School & Clinic. She practices massage therapy through her own business, Lone Oak Therapeutic Massage, and is now excited to have joined the New Light Therapy Center. Lori continues her education on a regular basis through workshops and seminars. Lori’s clients have had success with their chronic injuries and conditions such as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel, Tennis Elbow, and chronic pain from car accidents, as well as with the symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Muscular Dystrophy.
Lori’s goal is to give her clients “a better understanding of the connections within their bodies and teach techniques that will help balance their bodies to live healthier, pain-free lives.”
On a personal note:
Lori likes to do all things outdoors, non-motorized! Her preferred activities are rock climbing, biking, and cross-country skiing. Oh, and canoeing, backpacking, hiking… well, everything she can fit into a busy life.
Lori has always been interested in a holistic approach to wellness. Couple that with a car accident in 1998 that left her in extreme back, neck and head pain, unable to function at work or home. Lori underwent a year of extensive chiropractic and therapeutic massage, which led her to the passion for rehabilitative massage. “To help someone recover from intense pain is an honor I cannot describe.”
Lori owns and operates Lone Oak Therapeutic Massage catering to pregnancies, chronic injuries, and medical conditions.
Lori holds the belief that it is essential for expectant mothers to have touch, become knowledgeable about their own bodies, and physically, as well as mentally, prepare themselves for the birth their child.
